wash like normal with a good car wash and clean mitt or sponges.

I have found the Sonax Polymer Net Shield a great product to keep the clear film looking good and also adds some gloss to it.

With Collinite I heard you can pour some into a spray bottle. Let it sit in warm water then mist onto your applicator pad.
Have you heard about this?
I have not heard of that, not sure if it will take down any of the durability from watering it down.

I believe though it should work thru a spray bottle.

Both a great products.

Moronically let a lady friend in my car with a beverage which she proceeded to spill (naturally). Luckily there wasn't too much left but it has left a fairly strong odor that is really bothersome. A little bit spilled on the passenger seat and (I am afraid) a little bit spilled in between the passenger seat and the console.

Should I treat the leather and condition the carpeting? I want to address this asap so it doesn't become irreversible. What products would you recommend?

I would use 1Z einszett Deep Cleaner on the carpet to clean them up.

clean up your seats and condition them as well if they were hit by the spill.

What's the best/longest lasting tire protectant to use?

I've been using Vinylex, but it typically gets washed off after several car washes or driving in the rain...

I have read that allowing rain to sit on your car and evaporate, it becomes more acidic and can cause water spots to set in your clear coat and become permanent. Do you agree with this? Is there a easier way to protect my paint from permanent rain spots after it rains without drying it every time?

Keep it waxed regularly.

Just drying the rain off would still leave some acidic residue... Rinsing off the rain then drying would be a better choice, I think.

Yup I would keep it at the least washed and hit it up with a quick detail spray.

which do you prefer wax or seal? i wax my 135 just because of the way the water beads and the way it makes the paint feel. on swirls/ micro swirls i do a polish pad on the DA then a clean and dry, switch over to a finish pad on the da and then glaze the car. then i finish up with a hand applied carnauba. never have to cut the clearcoat because i never see bad scratches

I like to use Adam's Super VRT on my tires, however that being said, you can get better dressing application when you clean up the tires nicely to get the tire dressing to adhere better on a clean tire.

most water based tire dressings will last maybe 1-2 good rain storms.

I haven't seen anything I really liked that will last a long time, the trick is to get the car cleaned weekly if you can and just keep applying a nice layer of dressing on the tires each time. it will build a nice coat that will last longer and absorb into the tires.

it's really preference in the winter months I tend to use a sealant, right now we have been testing Sonax Net Shield its on just about all the cars at the shop and we have found it to be doing extremely well.

it's applied by hand by small sections.

here is a video of it on my daily driven car after a month and still going strong.

Sonax Polymer Net Shield would be done by hand.

if you have the time its not bad to put a wax over a sealant but most new sealants have the look as well as the durability so sometimes its a bit of a waste of time.

believe it or not i use paint sealant on my windows and it removes all water spots and even that wiper leave-behind streak. it makes the windows so transparent and crisp and the water cascades off of it

ok im planning on doing my car up before summer. i want to polish with the polishing pad then do a glaze with the finishing pad. i just dont want to lose the wet look i hope to achieve by using one or the other finish or both. which is better to retain paint gloss, carnauba or sealant?

Hmm, I'll try that tact starting with the next wash (this weekend, if the weather holds up).... Thanks!

The OP was referring to the inside windows.

Ah ok well I use foaming window cleaner doesn't matter what brand. Wipe off with newspaper like someone mentioned. It actually works really well and doesn't streak then I take the spray you use for like goggles to keep them from fogging and spray it over. Works very well surprisingly I've experimented if you can't tell

I've been using Invisible Glass and a terrycloth hand towel... Works great.
