Front Passenger Seat Issue

Ok so I've noticed that sliding the front passenger seat forward does not have the same travel as the driver's seat.

When I get low enough to look at the seat rails, the driver's seat uses the full travel length of the rail but the passenger seat stops about 70-100mm short. I can see that there are stoppers in the rails and these stoppers aren't in the same position on both front seats.

Is this normal out of the factory? Anyone else have a passenger seat like this?

It's just annoying since it's pretty much impossible to get people into the back from the passenger's side even when the seat is slid and tilted forward.
