Stupid HPFP

Went to an open house at Peoria BMW. Car rewards me with stuttering and throwing codes all the way there. Leave and I get limp mode. Argh.

So Tuesday it goes in for warrantee HPFP replacement.

make sure they also replace the fuel pressure sensor near the HPFP. It often goes bad too. It's like a $90 sensor. They should only charge you for the sensor. I would replace it at the same time. G.L. Dack

Good call on the sensor. Mine went out of warranty and was $700 with labor.

Is this the first time for you? Did you go in under the recall and get the updated HPFP installed?

Bought the car used. Not sure if it was. The Advisor pulled the VIN to check it.
