You win by 4 years.

The 135 became my DD in Oct. I try not to put too many miles on it but it's been fun so far. I still have my RX 8, but that'll go up for sale in the Spring. It is hard giving up the Mazda. I'm giving up a well balanced, hard to get in trouble car. Lack of torque allows you drive the car instead of the car drive you.

27. This is my first car and I use my 128i for my short 12 mile commute. Commute generally sucks and traffic is bad but the times I can rev the engine puts a smile on my face.

32 when I first got my 1er, I'm 35 now and I sold it 2 months ago(worst mistake ever). I have been driving BMWs since 1995 when I was 16. Man I'm so anxious to get back in a 135i, I scour cars.com daily for a new one even though I'm currently upside down on my new ride.

My age for my body is 63; my mind is still 18! Although my body gets older, my mind does not so my 128i gets anew exhaust (louder), intake, and lowered soon! And then after that who knows? Oh yeah, I have a Suzuki GSX in my garage! Who says getting older sucks? Every since my first car, (1959 Chevy) I have always mods to my cars. As they say "men never grow up". I am proof!

41 I live in the city and until recently only had a round trip commute of 2 miles per day - that just changed to 16. Leasing has worked well for me in the past, having a new car every 30 months is nice. This may change or at least become a bit more expensive. I usually make 1 major road Trip (Rally North America) each yr (typically 3-4K miles). Now with the increased daily commute my ability to rally without worrying about exceeding my mileage allocation is in jeopardy.

see my 2011 135 (Team Swiper) in the video around the 35/37 sec mark

She continues to be excellent.

Just did engine and trans mounts last weekend(she is on M3 motor mounts now), and I have the full supplies(tran, diff, brake, coolant, filters, bolts, etc) for Inspection II this weekend. Also did tensioners, pulleys, and belts two weekends ago. And replaced the driver's side C pillar trim as it was getting the typical sag.

Future will likely see some variety of long term stock like suspension(Bilsteins?) and a Quaife at the bare minimum. Oh, and a fresh windshield is in the works for the holidays.
Knew it'd be at a happy home!

27. Purchased 128i it to replace an ageing MK4 Golf TDI that served me well though univ being 90 km away. TDI turbo troubles made me stay away from turbo, have low insurance vs 135i, and silly me had no plans to mod because of no finances (wanted a blue Bmw w/ sport susp for some time, I also loved the e88 concept in 2005) and I thought n52 had no tuning options so I would save. The N52 community was in a dark age just discovering the DISA(Nov 2011), AA was just realising Stage 2 tune ( its now what they sell as a base tune), Euro box was shunned.

Since then I realized BMW sport suspension means something else when the car is on runflats(we have to change everything), the n52 is niche engine with some nice potential, and 1addicts sucks you into modding somehow

+1,000 on that.

I'm 31, drive 70 miles round trip to work, plus whatever running around is included in the days work. I average about 500-600 miles a week. Thats alot of time in the car and should be in something that you really enjoy.

Bought my 2011 last year with 24,000 miles on it.

I turn 24 in 7 days. I am about the same as IEDEI with a bit shorter commute. I drive around 50-60 miles per day. But every other weekend I drive to Atlanta (~200 miles each way) to see my fiance.

I graduated from college in Dec 2012 and wanted to get something for me. The 135i fits the bill perfectly.

45, first BMW.
I commute about 75 miles per day, plus whatever i do for personal (at least 5-6 times up to Cape Cod each year, etc.)
When I bought my 135i vert in 2012 I would split the miles between that and my RX and hopefully not overload either one with too many miles.

25. I love my car, and I only commute a few miles a day between work and school. I just wanted something nimble in the canyons and quick enough to ease through LA's soup - ahem, traffic.

My sediments exactly. Everyone looks at me like I'm crazy when I say I drive an hour to work every morning, but I enjoy it. Get to drive through the country and the highway with minimal traffic with the windows down.

Can't think of a better way to kick off the morning.

32. 2013 135is. Ordered brand new after driving a regular 135i - present to myself after (post divorce) selling my house and auto 328i (great car but... blah) It's brilliant even in metro Atlanta traffic, but thankfully I only drive about 25 miles each day. Will be the daily driver, while I ponder such things as an elise and/or 80's 911 targa for the weekends. Oh, dreams.
