I just put on a 18x8.5 45 offset with a 235/40/18 and no issues. I'm also lowered as well. So you may need something to get to ET45.

^^ +45 barely clears in strut, it actually touches my passenger side strut but not the driver side, I have to put in 5mm spacer to clear it, I'm on 18x8.5 ET40 (with 5mm spacer)

There is very limited clearance with an ET45, so anything higher would likely hit the struts. A small spacer will be needed. With those wheel specs you could run a 225/40/18 tire as well, which should clear most shocks.
