anyone with 225F and 255R on OEM 18" rims and lowered?

Just wondering, how many of you with 135i's are running 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear on the OEM 18" wheels and are lowered, either with the BMW Performance suspension, or something else with a more significant drop?

I know this wheel/tire set-up works for the stock height, but I want to know if I'll encounter any rubbing if I run this set-up on a lowered 135i.

Thanks in advance.

There's my front set up...

Eibach Springs
225/40/18 Hankooks
Stock Wheels
12mm Spacers

...NO rubbing. Tight as you can go on stock wheels. If I was lower I'd go with a 10mm spacer. I have 245 rears so there's obviously no rubbing. You should be fine.

If you weren't running the spacers, do you think you could get away with the 235/255 combination? What do you think of the Eibachs?

Not to thread hijack or anything...

Without the spacers I think 235s would fit. There was a decent amount of room in there. I think the question is whether or not it would rub against the suspension, not the fender.

I really like the Eibachs now. I was kinda regretting getting them when I had the RFTs on, but now that I have non-RFTs I love the set up. The drop is near perfect (the rear could be a tad lower) and the ride isn't too harsh.

Thanks for the input. I Had Hankooks on my 911 and loved them, so I'll probably go with them when the RFT's die. They are definitely priced right...

What are you running for shocks?

Stock shocks right now. I'll probably get coilovers in the next year. I just NEEDED the car lower now.

Thanks for this thread I am contemplating the same issue as the OP. I am runnning hankook v12 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 on my 261 rims. I want to go to the H&R Sport Springs for the agressive raked look but was curious if there was going to be rubbing. Sounds like I will have no issue, thanks guys and cheers to the OP.
