Cheap Ebay carbon fiber splitters...

Ok guys I searched to see if anyone had these with no luck. I am thinking about ordering these splitters from Ebay. They look like the Exotic Tuning ones from the pic...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/271132881866

Any input? Thanks...

Different vendor, with a photo on the car from the side.

Like exotics, but 3 times cheaper.

Comar1979 has some on his 130i. Here are some pics I took of his car at the Welt 2.0 meet...

I remember him telling me he got his off of ebay for very cheap! ~60 euros vs 400 euros for the BMW Performance cf ones.

Ya, you really cant beat the price... $130+$35 for shipping.... that is a fraction of the cost from Exotic tuning...

I know they are different splitters and probably will not fit. I just wanted to show you that some of the cheap knock off cf stuff DOES look good.

The main problem is how long it lasts. Some of the *cheap ebay) trunk lid spoilers and cf splitters only last a year or so - before the clear coat starts to peel or chip. Or the cf weave isn't perfect from the get go.

IF that kind of stuff bothers you... I would just buy the real deal.

Price wise it looks great but I am weary about the quality. However, people have been getting the ebay carbon fiber rear diffuser and trunk spoiler and have been satisfied. I will probably order these just to try it out... I let everybody know how they turn out. Thanks guys for the input.

the other thing to consider that for a front lip, you will constantly be hitting road debris. Not good to spend lots of money for it to be scratched or cracked in a year or so.

Yup that is why I don't see my self getting a really expensive carbon lip just for it to fall off or get damaged... These lips are expensive $500+ but $150 shipped for a splitter is something i can live with even if it breaks or falls off. Plus living in New Orleans really suck for lips... lol

Ordered the splitters and some other carbon fiber goodies. The Splitters needed to be grinded and sanded down quite a bit (atleast 1/2 inch on the top) for it to fit, but for the price and the work I did it was worth it... Here are some pics of the carbon fiber stuff as well as how it fitted out of the box the fit is terrible and didnt match up with the lip...

Now this is after i grinded and sanded at least 1/2 inch on the top of the splitters.... fit is perfect with little to no gap. Overall it took me 20 min on each splitter with grinding slowly and fitting each time I grinded a little bit.

They're a bit like Exotic's but it covers the flat area under the air ducts whereas Exotic's doesn't.

But looks good either way!

I just got these in the mail. The top is shaped exactly like the bumper profile (under the black inlet lip). You don't have to grind that part as it slips under the black lip. The lip actualy holds it down very well.

not yet, but it's true some grinding is needed like on the sides and where the centers meet. I'm actually going to manufacturer a center section for this set up so once I'm done i'll post some pictures.
