Eibach Pro-Kit Springs Installed BSM 135i Coupe (Pics)

Took some pics after I Installed Koni FSD shocks, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, and Macht Schnell spacers (15mm F 12mm R) with the stock 264 wheels and staggered stock 215/40/18, 245/35/18 Bridgestone runflat tires. I hope to add some M3 suspension parts and BMW Performance Parts in the future. The car is Black Sapphire Metallic over Savanna Beige leather and burl wood trim. I did 35% tint all the way around except the windshield. I really enjoy driving it!

The set up I'm running is geared more towards a grand touring daily driver car, if that makes sense. The firmness is about the same as stock because of the trick FSD damper technology, and slightly stiffer Eibach Pro-Kit springs. It feels slightly more stable on curvy back roads, and does a better job sorting out the bumps and cracks on the road. I wanted to lower the car, but not get too far away from the stock feeling. Reason being, I drive my car everyday on Southeast Michigan roads (not the best condition). There is no rubbing at all during any driving situation or car load. Spacers are definitely not required - I only added them for enhanced aesthetics (wider stance).

If you're going for more of an autocrosser or light track use set up, don't even consider the FSDs and Eibach Pro-Kit. Harold at HP Autowerks is great at guiding customers to a proper setup while keeping your budget in mind (also great customer service).

There have been no issues with my car - the set up has met my expectations of slightly enhancing the stock feel and lowering the ride height. My next mod will be ditching the runflats - slightly wider (225/255) regular tires will make the car ride even better. I am also thinking of adding the M3 sway bar to my 135i coupe for a sharper, more stable turn-in.

My mod resource list:
1. Eibach Pro-Kit Pt# 2097.140 HP Autowerks or Tire Rack ($237)
2. Koni FSD Damper Set Pt# 2100-4036 HP Autowerks or Tire Rack ($628)
3. Take your car to someone locally that can do a good alignment about a week after you install the parts. This way it will have had a chance to settle. (around $100)
4. Macht Schnell Spacers - 15mm F, 12mm R ($120 x 2) IND
5. BMW Performance Grilles (gloss black). Can pick up at your local dealer or order from Tischer Get BMW Parts
6. Wash, and wax. Then sit back and smile.

Springs and wheels are perfect, but the black grill and black stripes surrounding the side windows make the car boring

Looks sweet! any bottoming out of the stock dampers with a 1.2" drop? my experience is the first few months they keep up but shortly after you start to blow shocks. just keep an eye out

I'd be curious to hear how you got the 10mm spacers on the front w/ no rubbing? I tried to run H&R 10mm spacers up front and was rubbing really bad before full lock. I am much lower w/ CROSS coilovers, but didn't really think it was rubbing due to ride height. Any input sir?

Thanks man!

I have Koni FSD shocks installed as well. I just didn't put it in the title and forgot to in the first thread. Handling feels great and improved over stock set up. I ran Eibach Pro-Kit Springs on my E90 with stock shocks/struts for 3 years with no issues. I also have a lot of friends that have done the same in their Porsches with no issues.

I'm actually running 15mm front, 12mm rear. I'm not sure why you're had issues running 10mm up front. Maybe it's because your car is lower and the tires rub the fender liner wall... I'm not really sure because our set ups are different.

I tested my set up in a parking lot by driving slow with the wheel turned full lock. I also drove the car aggressively over various road surfaces with quick elevation changes. I haven't experienced any rubbing front or back with a full load in the car. I followed the recommendation of this thread, but decided to try a little different set up because these spacers were laying around from my last BMW. It ended up working perfectly. I have about a half finger gap up front and a finger and a half in the rear. WSTO ran 18mm up front with a lower drop so I had a feeling 15mm would work just fine. And since my drop isn't as low in the rear, I took a shot with the 12mm and they worked out. I'll report back if I end up having any issues down the road.
