Perf Exhaust = $1378.98

I was just quoted at almost $1400 by my dealer for the performance exhaust, installed. Am I getting hosed or is this fair?

I'd say thats pricy since you can get it from Dan@United for $880+shipping and have a shop install it for $160. Tell them you can buy it from Dan@United and have them install it and they might go way down on the price. I actually showed a dealership Dan's prices and they cut $700 off the installed price of the BMW performance suspension. I never did get them however. :P

I got mine for $50...with instal!!! So yes that seems a bit high to me.

I think you'll have some luck if you talk to the parts guy and tell him you can get it cheaper elsewhere. My dealer's part manager matched the 880 when I asked him. Made my life a little easier with shipping stuff etc.

I'd say anything over $600 for essentially just a muffler is rediculous...

Call Dan @ United - A day trip up from FL will get you the perf exhaust and SSK installed for about that.

They're trying to screw me on the installation. They quote the same MSRP of $1095 (or something like that) on the BMW USA site and tack on the rest as installation.

However, when I plug in my specific dealer on BMW USA the price of the exhaust drops to $900 with an installed price of about $1,080 and change.

I'll print it and see if I can work with them from there. How sad is it that I have to use BMW's own figures to haggle down the initial quote they gave me?
