Newb need help! 17" opinions

Looking at these at the moment, seriously considering purchasing and getting sprayed black:

Whats your thoughts on them? Either or...
Main concern is them in 17inches, as opposed to 18's or 19's. I would prefer to go bigger but recently in the last year I have had to buy all new run flats, which weren't cheap and to be honest I dont want to blow a load of cash to replace with larger ones (as there were very costly!!).

If I do get in 17" I will lower with Eibach Pro Kit and space out like 12/15mm

Whatcha think?

To preface everything, ditch the run flats. Worst stock feature of the car.

I think 17s are fantastic on the 1 series. I run them, my particular set clears everything well, and it improves every performance and comfort aspect of the car, even if they are the same weight.

No idea on those wheels in particular, but I would look elsewhere as I have no idea what that brand is. Generally that would mean China.

*Edit* Minor Googling yields that they are indeed made in China now.

If budget is a concern check out the wheel/tire section in the FS forum. I think the 17" wheels from the 128 Sport look pretty good and you might find a used set.

That would a good choice in terms of strength.

China made wheels are a no go then?
