Ummm, "wrong" spec, not exactly.

I believe the +50 offset is correct for the 1'er, with a 9.5" rear as per VMR.

At stock ride height scrubbing is very minimal.

That is with no guard rolling and the very square sidewall of the Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 trye.

However once you lower the ride height, the 8.5" +45 front and 9.5" +50 rear just don't work.

For those wanting to lower their vehicle, I would strongly recommend against running the above wheel widths and offsets.

FYI,

an 8" front and 9" rear with my exact same AD08 tyre appears to work just fine.

I recall Jason's black coupe at the dyno day had KW V2's on his car and it was "slammed".

Apparently he has some very minor scrubbing on the rears, but he said it's by no means a concern.

Oh, I almost forgot, can someone hurry up and please buy my KW V2's , haha.

Cheers,

JD.

Advan did my coilovers for $550...

My suspension clunks a fair bit but they've already checked it out for me. Better go back and see what's wrong.

JD yeh I'm planning on running advan neova AD08s with those exact same offset, albeit 18inch VMR wheels.

I'll toss up whether I want to muck around with rubbing getting the guards rolled etc... or settle for a different suspension setup.

Anyone know Jason's wheel and tyre specs?? Trying to get to the bottom of this

From others' comments, a lot of 135's sit lower on the right regardless of RHD/LHD. Be interested to know why?

Dealer not that happy about taking the car back as he says there's nothing they can really do. I am waiting for the response that it isn't their problem because I bought the kit from a US dealer!
I was talking to a suspension tech the other day regarding installing my H&R coils... here's what he told me.

The springs are all different lengths, seperated by 5 - 10 mm. Reason for this is that the taller springs sit on the drivers side of the car, to compensate for the driver's weight etc. So if I may make the claim, I think because your BMW Perf Sussie is LHD spec, that is why the Left side of the car sit's a little higher.

Make what you will of this. I'm only going from what the tech told me.

My RHD car on standard suspension sat about 5mm higher on the LHS.
As I see it, our cars are heavier & hence lower on the RHS for a few reason. Engine leans to the right, steering gear's on the right, turbos (if you've got em) & exhaust are on the right. Thats all before you add in the driver's weight.

Can't you buy them new for about $1200US, add shipping and surely you'd get them here for approx $1600AUD?

Fuel tanks sit either side of the transmission tunnel as I understand it.

Mine didn't have markings either, just the lengths were different. Hence being able to distinguish each one.

I stand corrected then. Perhaps it's just the H&R's that have this feature? I will do some further investigating.

Good luck finding the problem.
