M3 diff in a 135
Hi all today we did rear subframe M3 bushes in a E82, Since we have a complete rear end from a 335 E92 kicking around i thought i would do a measure up.
Hey presto it will fit just fine. So in conclusion a complete M3 E90/92 rear end will fit the E82 Just like in the 1M. Could be a real nice upgrade for some one building a tough car on a budget. |

Yes you just need to purchase a complete M3 rear end and bolt it in the car just as i did with my 335. You will have to modify the drive shaft and use the M3 rear brakes you will also have to use 19in wheels with the 135 offset and that is it. The best thing is that you have many diff ratios to choose from no more welded diff gear , M3 arms, super strong half shafts and CV joints, M3 bushes, and a super strong subframe. |

Might be a silly question, but what about the front end grip and balance? Wouldn't the added grip and stability from the M3 rear just cause the car to understeer every which way?

I mean trying to find a E90 M3 arse end is hard as there are not many being wrecked, Just maybe the price has gone up now that we know they are a bolt up mod for the 1 & 3 series. OOOO well at least i have mine |

The demand for wrecked E90's probably just went up considerably, which in time might mean more being written off rather than repaired. |
