Wow, I missed your thread!!
Mine will be here in the next week or two, I'm holding it together okay!

I bought two new booster seats for my girls, in black and dark red. They won't ruin my rear seats with their platform, unlike the current seats we're using.

I plan to pick up the car with my little girls (3 and 4)...they're as excited as I am! They won't know they have new boosters until they come to pick up the car with me, I want it to be a big occasion for all of us. (wife too, although the X5 is hers...)

Thanks for the review links for the Toyos. Those are in the lead for me right now, the price is right and they seem to be highly recomended. The BMW rep I dealt with said to get those, plus a friend of mine who wore his winters bare in one season (Lexus GS400) swears by them as well.

As far as a the group buy, I don't know if we'll get any play on the price, but if there's enough people I'll see what I can get them to do. We should get a list of all the Montreal e90post members together anyway.
Group buys generally need a lot of people, don't they? And we'd all have to agree on the same tire

I got sick and tired of the DTC/DSC last winter in my e46. That's why the xi is on the way. If I lived downtown it would be different...but the 170 km drive almost every day compels me to buy the "Ultimate" Ultimate driving machine for snow!

When we're cruising around MTL in our pimped out E90s for sure we'll go the the Green Stop in St. Henri for a group meet!!(JK) More like Lafleurs in a place where there is parking!

Hello Montreal/Quebec members. Missed out on the weekend posting (weekends are spent running after my children at home).

I t would be a good idea to get list going of Mtl. members.

For those who still want pictures of the Dunlops M3 and Replica wheels, good pics have been posted by Buckman under the Tires section. I have mine in the garage waiting for their car. It should be here the week of October 24 (yes...next week!!!!)

We will see who gets it first, Stew or I.

As for RWD vs AWD in winter, no contest AWD is better. I got RWD because I live and drive in the City.

Any other Montrealers on this time line????
I lived for 8 years in Montreal, now go back and forth.

There is a bm online community in MTL.

Though not on their web site, Tiretrends says they can get the replica BMW 7-spoke wheels in 16" for I believe $169 a piece. They claim these will fit the e90. Slap on some Dunlop M3s and taxes and shipped that comes to $1700, which seems pretty decent and these wheels should look really good on the e90 I think.

Just one thing to keep in mind:

The 16' rims will not fit over the brakes of a 330. So if any of you are in the future considering it, you might want to invest up front in a 17' rim that will and therfore amortise your investment over a longer period of time.

Is that only the 330 with sport package where 16"s are a problem, or all 330s?

I have a 325 with sport package, so 16"s should be fine from what I understand.

You are correct Tim - 325 with Sport can support 16' rims. The issue with the 17' rims goes for all 330s though; therefore if you are contemplating getting one down the road, it is something to keep in mind when deciding upon your wheel/rim combo.

Very funny Mr. A!!!

Actually my next two days at the office will go like wildfire, so before I know it we'll be Thursday!

And to reference the thread title, I will be the third xi out of Jalbert Kirkland.

Awesome! The wait is finally over.

I actually have to pass by there this week to pick up a hat from Gary. I'll have to peek through the windows to the back and see if I can see it getting prepped.

5 falls on the awkward time between too early to leave the office for the day, and too late to leave and come back. Plus traffic has been ridiculous on the West Island lately around that time. What gives?

Anyway, I might pass by around 6 or so, do you think you'll still be there? The sparkling graphite is going to look really nice in the showroom, hopefully they'll drive it out like they did with mine.

I'll call Gary and see if he's around that evening. I'm not sure exactly what the hat is, I think he said it was a BMW F1 hat. It's his way of bribing *ahem* thanking me for giving the dealer and him good ratings when BMW called me to follow up about the purchase.

Ha ha, nothing like 5's all around, eh?
As it is, I may actually be picking up the car in the morning......so we'll just have to schedule our Montreal meet with wolf, benoit, ssam, michelito, bimmerista and some of the other lunatics who hang around here!

West Island traffic=ongoing construction

I gave full marks across the board, with a 1 point deduction for the delivery of the car since it had the front plate on it. Maybe it wasn't their fault, but still...

That's actually a pretty impressive number of Montreal members. A Montreal meet would be cool. I want to do some of the BMW Driver Training classes when they start again in the spring too... if some other E90post members would be up for that it would be fun I think.
