I guess I will be driving a myth around Bavaria this Oct then. BMW hires the best and the brightest engineers, and their marketing folks are no slouches either. They understand that the competition is Audi, Lexus, MB, Infinity. They are not about to stand still while the competition advances. Freude am fahren.

I don't believe that BMW has confirmed a 335i sedan as it would have the same badging as the coupe. BMW, with the e92 design is differentiating it from the sedan drastically. It would not be smart to have the sedan badged the same as the coupe

Poeple who actually work for BMW are saying they've had reps visit the dealership and tell them about the 328 and 335i sedan. Read this post - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=54

Supposedly the 335i sedan will be a September production car - http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=57

That time, 335 sedan will also face the competition from its own brother 330 sedan. Who would want to do that?
Tell me what is the purpose of replacing 330 sedan with the 335 sedan after just over a year. Horsepower? If HP is so important, people would've bought the 330 over the 325, but the number showed that 325:330 selling ratio is 3:1.
exactly......Official info in nov/dec. car comes out in spring. That would be 2 years after the e90 was released, which seems reasonable for an engine update.

Guys, I trust Alpine6speed and some of the other folks on this list with inside information when they tell us that BMW NA plans a Sept SOP for the E90 328/335, with late Oct/early Nov starting delivery. Until an official press release, probably not until July, we won't know for certain. But for those of us that need to make plans to get our cars as early as possible, it helps to get on the waiting list now.

As do I trust these sources. Guys like GreginAz (who have been saying this from Day1 back in November) I don't really know personally, so I had doubts. However, there is now too much info coming straight from the horse's mouth....

BMWNA could wait 'til Spring but, why bother? For the E92, the initial orders during the Summertime months are going to be what they're going to be;;no 335 Sedan is going to change that. As far as competition from a 330 Sedan, well, there'll be no more 330 Sedan. Technically speaking yes, its not a full two years since rollout, but if you wanted to buy in a peak selling season like Spring or Summer, you WOULD have effectively waited a full two years.

Dealers will start discounting '06 models as much as possible, but we know how that goes.....
they're not built in volumes like Fords so, if you want an '06.....now's the time.

Thanks for the props Rich...all the naysayers here have not been following this situation like us...for so long...as you stated info I acquired late last year is coming true just like my BMWNA source had said it would...people don't need to believe it but unless there are unforeseen technical/manufacturing problems the E90 335 will start builds in September and hit the Left Coast in late October...the current E90 330 will cease production in August.

Info...not as solid...but I have been told official orders for the sedan will start to be taken in July and base pricing should be $1000-$1500 over the current 330.

Now, as for a performance package it was undetermined when I last asked...I will do so again...I would be psyched if there was one!

It's cool ....but I'm afraid I'm not too sure that your 'source' is very accurate on pricing. He/she wants you to buy one, so of course if your thoughts are that it won't be that much, you'll wait. But like you said....THAT particular info is not as solid.

Bottom line: I think that $1500 over a 330 is just a tad bit hopeful, while people guessing $42K plus are over-exaggerating.
My bet is that the Sedan comes in at $40K base while the Coupe comes in at $41K.

Truth be said, my source is not sure either...I think this is a tightly guarded secret...especially until coupe pricing comes out...I have a hard time seeing a 10% increase though.

What's your take on the recently disclosed "military pricing" ?

Rich, I really can't comment as I have heard nothing definitive...I really believe there are VERY few people at BMW that know what the pricing actually is going to be.

Well, my opinion is based on what a few different people with BMWNA contacts have said...that, obviously, there will be a price increase but not much more than $1000...I also have heard if more features are made standard the base might be increased more than $1000 but you will be getting more too...

Sounds excited ! It was like that old feeling when I was choosing a CLK class but the piled up addon's options list had made me gone for the very sensible C class! I am seriously considering a 328i E92 convertible!

This board is all about providing information...hopefully from reliable sources...if we sat around and waited for everything to be OFFICIAL that would take out a lot of the fun.

Yes, nothing is official, but I have seen actual BMW production model sheets which detail the info I have been providing...the first info on this sheet concerned the E92 and it was correct...I can only assume the info regarding the E90 328/335 will be just as accurate...especially with MANY others on this site and others hearing the same info now from many BMW sources.

If you don't like the 'speculation' you don't need to read it or believe...I don't care what you believe but back up your conjecture regarding 'no changes in E90 for 2007'...

Exactly...325er, it's ok to have buyers remorse. Obviously you do or you wouldn't be so damn bitter about the whole issue. On another note, the price for E90 335i will be more than $1000 - $1500 over the current price...think something more like $3000 - $4000, think about it, BMW doesn't just give their engines away.

Save your money and keep driving your dads GT. Hell, anything after that would seem kinda cheap. Even a 335.
