Sexy as hell. Hope we can afford this within the next 4 years before the maintenance runs out on the 228i that hasn't even been built yet, lol.

I've been looking at this pic the entire week. I absolutely love it, just wished there was a rear end PS with it.

Honestly, if it looked like this, I'm sold.
Orange/Cloth/6MT
Cold weather pack
LED headlights if possible

Agh, day dreaming again.

Needs a bigger diameter fender flare at the back - the render has the flare angling outwards too sharply because it starts too close in to the tire.

Yea but I want someone to match it in the same shade of orange! That would absolutely be the color I pick.

These renders are literally the only thing stopping me from even test driving an M235i. Although I probably will soon.

W///: The M2 won't be available for 2 years at least. Might as well lease/buy a 235 and upgrade with the new M2 in 3 years. Or wait. I guess it depends what you are currently driving.

If you test drive a 235, it will be just a taste... you can stop at any time... really...

I like the red M2 render a lot. I think it is going to be closer to the production model with the more gradual take off of the fender flares (similar to the M4) and the newer style front quarter vents. I would expect a CF roof, though, which isn't on the render.

That's why it's perfect. M3 will be paid off exactly on time for the M2

The thing I'm most curious about is the steering feel. There's an Estoril M235i sitting at the dealership I've been wanting to try out.

Steering feel is good, but... it is no M. At least in my opinion as an occasional M3 driver rather than owner.

I hear you on the orange - it's the color I would get as well - and this seems to be much more "orange" than VO, which is something that I hope makes it all the way to the real car...

If I were you, I would wait for a warm day (because of the tires) and only drive it in Sport +, which will give you the best sporting characteristics of the M235. It will definitely feel different - I have driven the E90 M3 a few times, but it was a while ago and not long enough to speak about the differences intelligently.

In terms of steering feel vs. the E82 135, the M235 is definitely lighter, but I would say the steering is also quicker/more direct. And since the car has so much more grip than the E82 (in my opinion), the differences are basically a wash for me.

Just my $.02

Seriously. I keep lurking on the 2er forum to hear more secret info on the M2 or some new PS. It's insane that a car that doesn't even exist yet can have so much of my attention
