Salvage yards in Germany

To all my fellow 1Addict Euro folks; I'm looking to pick up a set of xenon adaptive headlights with clear corners and my friend wants to get some parts for his Audi A6. Who knows of some good junk yards? Or are there some websites that I can browse to find what we are looking for? That is all.

Your best bet is to ask around at your local MWR crafts shop or even at your local Zentrum (dealer). I am sure there must be some places around Stuttgart that sell used parts.

I did find this website where you can search for parts. They even have 2(!) 135i's listed!!! Out of twelve e82's.

This is the place I go to for parts for my old e39. Its near Hassfurt/Schweinfurt.

I was looking for a BMW jack (still am, actually) so I stopped by a local used BMW dealership that's well known for offering budget BMWs to US service members freshly deployed to Germany.
I asked the guy if he had any used parts for sale.

BZ: "You need a jack?? Did you buy the BMW from us?"

ME: "No."

BZ: "You should try a junkyard."

ME: "Where is there a junkyard in the area?"

BZ: "You should try EBay."

ME: "Thanks."

If you end up making a junkyard run, let me know...

EBay is too easy. I have a floor jack now.
I want to climb around a cool European junk yard with crazy cars I've never seen and haggle the guy down to 7 euro if I climb in a rip it out myself!

I've been looking through Germany eBay... My extremely limited understanding of the German language is making this difficult. I think I found a legit auction for LCI headlight though....

Sometimes when I do not know the exact German word for some part I am looking for... I just go to RealOEM.com and look up the bmw part number. I then run a search on ebay.de for that part number. Usually works. Also on RealOEM.com there is a language tab(top right) which you can switch between English and German(or any other language!).

But inputting the bmw part number on ebay works like a charm.

229 to 249 euros for two LCI blacklines...
http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_nkw=b...5282&_osacat=0

But... IF you were to order the LCI blackline kit (part #63212225282 for L&R lights) from your local BMW Zentrum and give them a VAT form... I bet you could get them for less than that. ~220 ish.

I may just go to the local dealership and see what they can do on the price. I badly want some xenon adaptive euro headlights... possibly LCI if I can find them.

Here are some... but they are NOT ahl units.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/BMW-1er-XENON...ht_1840wt_1344

Still... I think you could get a better deal at your dealer with a VAT from andtell then you want to discount(rebatt preis) the price some. My dealer usually gives me 10% to 20% off list... then I give them a VAT form.
