M door sills and Instrument cluster damaged (e87 130i)
Hi,
I just bought a 130i with 90k miles and it has a few things that I will like to fix. Let's see if anyone can help me. BTW try not to use "abbreviations" more complicated than this one ... because english is not my native language or if you use them, explain them so I can learn them ! Thanks ! The door sills are damaged ... anyone know if there is a DIY to help me restore them ? Also, how can I remove them ? The instrument cluster is damaged, it has two cracks: Looks like the instrument cluster is just one piece ... does anyone know if its possible to replace just the glass ? I've looked for the "instrument cluster" in the realOEM site (first time!!) and this is what I found: http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...&fg=05&lang=en It's just like that ? One solid piece ? Thanks ! |

Unfortunately the instrument cluster is a whole piece replacement. I also looked into this before I took mine apart. So if you want a new piece your going to have to get the whole unit. Couple hundred dollars. It's really easy to get it apart but I'm pretty sure you can't buy just that piece. Maybe if you search long enough. I made a DIY for taking the gauges apart.
DIY: blue LED's in instrument cluster. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=771058
