Sirius renewal?

My one year free subscription is just about up. Anyone have any tips on how to get a lower rate on renewal? I know from my Corvette site there are some ways to handle the XM people to wheel and deal for big discounts. Any help appreciated.

I pay $77/yr. I just called before my service was officially up and told them I wanted to cancel, they'll start wheelin' and dealin'

In Canada we can have our second car at half price. Since u have the vette use it as the primary account. So I just set mine up on my dads account.

Can't mix XM and Sirius accounts for discount (believe me I've tried)-still 2 separate billing departments! If you "think" you are going to keep your 1 for a long time, I think you can still purchase a lifetime subscription which amortizes to ~$75/year for 5 years (you have to pay up front, but you can pay in installments). I plan on keeping my 1 for "years" so I thought it was an ok deal (who knows, they may go belly up...)

Just do not react for a while and refuse their first propositions for deals. They are so desperate for clients they they are dropping their pants. I did not renew the Sirius subscription I had with my previous car when I bought the 1er and they kept calling me for 3 months with lower prices every time.

Does not change anything as far I am concerned since I believe Sirius sucks (too many bad commercial on talk show radio and Audio quality at the gutter level)...

Frank, I cancelled the Vettes XM after the initial offer as I redid my whole system and have my ipod linked into the Vettes HU. I do want the sirius in the 1 though. If I can get it for $77(thats the rate that most XM guys get it for) I'll take it.
