Gotta love people
This was my bonus for shopping at Shoprite in New Rochelle. They won't even consider looking at surveillance tapes even though I gave them a 10 minute time frame. From now on, the girlfriend goes and buys the food while I sit in the car and guard it from the morons of this world.
Body shop quoted me something in the neighborhood of $500. They do great work and sprayed something for my e92 and brought my Jeep Cherokee back from the dead so I hold them in high esteem but seriously, 500 for that? |

Am I seeing one or two scratches? Obviously the scuff, but there looks like a swirley key mark too?
If you're willing to drive into Jersey, I know a shop that can take care of that for you for around $300.

Ouch, I feel your pain.
I got a scuff on the underside of the front apron. My own damned fault -- traffic was backed up insanely on the interstate, and I didn't see it until I was already on the "on" ramp. I spied a dirt path between the "on" ramp and the "off" ramp that had been used by construction vehicles and, being too clever for my own good, decided to take it. Ended up scraping off a little bit of the paint. You can't see it unless you actually get underneath the car and look at it, but of course, *I* see it and know it, so it's annoying to me. Oh well, maybe I'll use this as an excuse to buy the BMW Performance front apron.... |

Dlm, yea I figured it's a plastic part, the whole bumper shouldn't need to be sanded down. 200-350 was more what I guestimated myself.
Frank, I think they key mark is just a bad reflection. It's the scuffing that's the problem, and why I can't fathom spending so much on it. I'llget better pics tomorrow. Matt, I don't think I'd be able to handle that. I'd have no idea what to do if a 10yo beaned my car with a rock. Jkp, I wish I could use this as an excuse to updgrade, but this unsightly blemish is actually just beneth the sheetmetal on the drivers rear bumper. If the bumper needs to come off the car, I'll just use this as an opportunity to have a body shop put on my GAS diffuser if it ever shows up. |

Hey tcd...it's Alex right? It's Dave from our 1 series meet. I hope I got your name right I'm so bad with them. I feel for you though...that is the reason I try to park very far away from all the careless people who don't care.
Hey Frank and Matt we need to do another 1 series meet... |

That was the thing, I parked a mile away from everyone, but someone still tried to park next to me. Gonna try to get a reasonable quote tomorrow and get my bumper fixed before the next meet. We'll see how it goes. |

Yeah that's my bad...I do remember you though just matched up the wrong name with the face. I parked next to you at GPNY. BTW I'm thinking about getting LUX bulbs soon.
