What AE LED conversion do you use/recommend?

Working on cleaning up the front end a bit, grill blackened, orange reflectors soon to be covered. So next glaring thing is getting rid of the yellow stock angel eye halogen rings. What are you guys using and would recommend. What I want is:

1. PnP - don't want to be splicing wires, re-routing circuits, etc.
2. Nice bright white light
3. Both inner and outter ring illuminated equally (some I have seen show a very visible difference)
4. High quality, not cheap Ebay knock-offs made in Laos!
5. Not terribly price conscious, but would like to stay within $100 give-or-take if possible

Cheers

I like my LUX bulbs, but I have to send them out as per the recall. The updated kit is still plug and play, but I think the power supply now hangs outside of the headlight housing. They do look really good though.

I have the Alpine HID kit on mine. They're extremely bright and installation was pretty straight forward. I doubt you will find any kit that will light up both rings EQUALLY. Unfortunately due to the design of the headlights, it's nearly impossible to have them equal. LUX seems to have the "best" for having them equal, but I guess they're having some issues with their kit.

Thx guys, keep the feedback coming. If you can post pics, that would be splendid!

tcd223: what exactly is the cause of the recall of the LUXs - overheating or something?

Thats the rumor. I haven't pulled my bulbs out yet, but its been cold enough around here that I'm not really worried. You can check out the LUX side by side with the Alpine HIDs if Snertz is coming to Captree in a few weeks.

Edit - I don't know if Snertz or Acivick are going to be there so you may not be able to get a side by side of the bulbs.

No go, those are RD or RD replicas. They are very unreliable and not as solid of light output on the outer ring.
