My First Service - Crown BMW, Greensboro NC

I'll be dropping my car off on Monday, March 21st for it's first service visit. Up until now I've take care of the oil changes.

Any recommendations and/or advice? (I know about that 6-pack and a wink ploy.)

Other than the typical service due, I've added these items to my list:

Recalls: HPFP, Taillights, Seatbelts, etc. Guess they'll reflash, too.

Windshield distortions
Armrest creaking
Brakes rubbing (*and it better not be that damn brake dust jamming up the works) Oh, why, oh, why does it look like the bmw poops on it's own feet...damn black brake dust!
Noise when turning...rubby, clicky, chirpy noise
Steering wheel misaligned since day one...why bother, right?
Door seal for passenger window
Floormat construction separation
Passenger air vent...that puppy has been creaky and annoying since day one.
A-pillar popping and noise (passenger side)
Driver's seat squeak
Lumpy engine idle
Exhaust clang...should it really be that loud?
Paint defects need a look.

AND yes, they are giving me a loaner, because it's going to take them a while.

Interesting you mentioned the passenger door seal thing, Im getting a scheduled oil change tomorrow and I have that on my list for them to look at as well. Anytime im over 60 mph with the windows closed I hear air rushing on that side, noticeably from what seems to be the passenger window. I know its not the drivers window or the sunroof so...

Hope they can fix it

Car is back home. Having a loaner 3 convertible was nice, but it's not a 135.

Service: First impression...eh. I don't like cleaning up after folks. Of course they couldn't hear this or see that, but I've enlightened them partially. This will take a second visit and convincing them I'm not crazy or a liar.

Premium car, premium service? Nope...just ordinary.

@theZ99...techs could not duplicate the air leak noise on the passenger side.

2009 MY with build date of dec2008.

Have noticed lumpy idle and a few oddities. Guessing the car is still "learning."

You should have taken them out for a drive, thats what I did. Guy sat in the passenger seat, I took it out and up to 80 and he heard it for sure after saying he couldnt hear it while driving. It will be taken care of this coming monday along with the recalls. He said he will be adjusting the window inward a bit to seal up more secure with the top end of the door and not "vibrate" like he thinks its doing at higher speeds. I believe this will be a fix, if yours continues, do this and pass it on to ur tech

Anyone know why I have this icon with 16000 displayed? I couldn't find a direct reference in the owner's manual.

And...Looks like they forgot to reset my oil change ... still set for 15000, and just had that changed last week at 14000.

I believe that is the symbol for either tire rotation or inspection, not sure though. Get it back to them n have them reset your shit and ask em about that.

Thanks...I'm new to the BWW requirements...since it's my first one.

I have the double "ss" symbol indicating my inspection is 7/2011, so I'm cool with that.

I have a new list (which has a lot of previous stuff) compiled. I don't think I've ever had to make a second trip in for issues with other vehicles.

I knew I would be back in to discuss the scuffs on the leather driver's seat, clear coat scratches where they removed and reinstalled the passenger tail light, and as a follow up to the distortions in the windshield. Adding "reset" to my list now.

LOL....Wow.
