BWM PPK in Germany

Ok, so im starting to rethink having the PPK installed at time of delivery. They are wanting to charge ~950 EURO for the flash. That is version 1 of the PPK and includes no hardware, just the flash.

In the USA for the EXACT SAME flash it is 599 USD!

Has anyone found a dealer in Germany that will honor the more realistic pricing? Because there is no way to justify roughly 600USD increase in price. Ill just put that money towards the summer wheels and tires / m3 suspension bits fund. lol

no room to negotiate? what about using a VAT form?

For that price just get a JB3 or Cobb or GAIC.

My JB3 is a blast...and you can definitely feel the boost in performance.

They will not honor the prices from the states unless you are lucky enough to find a dealer that will. When it comes to pricing of parts and stuff like that (Performance) I shop online because the prices here are redonkulous!!!!

ive been trying and trying to get something to budge and they just say that germany isnt like the US in that regard. lol. (this is the british military sales people saying that)

even with a VAT form it doesnt make much of a dent.

Get a BT Scan Tool and you'll be fine.

I'm not gonna say don't worry about your warranty in Germany but I take my car to the dealership with full bolt-ons, meth and all, and the only thing they have ever said to me was your car sounds awesome and the tech that took it for the test drive after changing the brake fluid said it was soooo fast and I was on the stock bypass so he had no clue what the car is actually capable of. They have had my car on the lift and everything and never spoke a word about the completely cat-less exhaust, of course they also know that I go to Nurburgring at least twice a month.

IF you want the PPK 1, then why not order it from Tischer or United mail order. They will give you a SW pin number to activate the SW thru a dealers GT1 scan tool... then have a dealer over here install/download the update.

You should first ask a BMW Zentrum how much they would charge you for a SW cod. Just the labor. Then tell then you will get the SW from BMW and there you go. FYI... my dealer charges 120 euros for a SW update. Most dealers in teh states charge about 1.0 to 1.5 hours at cod rates.

You could also get a flash tune from one of the many German tuners. Most run under 900 euros. I got mine from Marcel at www.MS-Chiptuning.de
