Ouch...scratches and big dent on the front bumper
I made a serious damage on the front bumper at my fault. I couldn't hear the scratching sound against sidewalk for a couple of seconds and resulted in what it looks like in the picture. The crach created a little gap right below the fog light as well.
Anybody has an experience to manage similar case or any suggestion to fix it? If the replacement of the bumper seems required, how much would it cost including labor? Thanks in advance~ Last edited by cmpark; 06-11-2006 at 05:26 PM.. |

I can't see your photo, but here is the bodyshop I've used for years. They do excellent work and I highly recommend them. Go get an estimate from them at least. Specialty Body Works, Inc. 330 Paularino Ave Costa Mesa, CA 92626 (714) 557-0780 |

Ouch, I'm sure that can be repaired though and you won't need a new bumper. However, to bend it back might cost you $50 or so (assuming it needs more than just poping it in the other direction) and then a repaint of the entire front bumper would probably be anywhere from $300 to $500. So it's costly but depending on how obsessive you are about your car, you might be better off to just have it bent back now and pay the $50 or whatever and then wait a while to get the repaint done so you can put some money together.
EDIT: Opps, I see this happened a month ago. What was the outcome? |
