real life German Polizei car photos...
German Polizei cars…
Ok, since you guys seemed to LOVE my e90 Polizei photos… I searched some of my old photo files and put together these pics. Some are from past IAA (Frankfurt Auto Show) some are just taken of cars parked on the street here. What I think is cool is the German Polizei don’t get new cars very often. You see really older cars being used by them. As long as the car passes the TUV, they will run them into the ground. In every area of Germany these use different makes & Polizei colors. In Bavaria they use the old classic green and white or green on silver theme. In Most other parts of Germany they use base silver cars with blue. I prefer the green cars. Enjoy! München polizei cars… The Polizei station… A VW Van… sometimes called a “Bulli” or Bullizei! Real cops! Found on the streets of Nuernberg… From a past IAA… new and old Opel’s… Hessen cops at the IAA… Hessen polizei have switched from BMW bikes to Yamaha! And look what else they drive! Verkehr Museum München Notartz… From the Porsche Museum… And to end with something cool… wanna rent a M3? And not to leave MINI out… Last edited by Dackelone; 09-30-2010 at 07:48 PM.. |

Great shots David!
I was just about to ask 'where are the 911's'? But then I got to the end. I think I've got some great older 911 & 356 Polizei shots in the archives. I'll look them up when I get home. Thanks for the post! ianc

Thanks Ian. I've been meaning to put together some shots of Porsche's new modern museum in Zuffenhausen. I holds a lot more cars than the old shoe-box museum!
I am also putting my finishing touches on an Octoberfest photo shoot for you all. bye, David |

One thing about the cop cars here, there no mistaking them for something else, haha. Its a good thing they rock those giant overhead lights being that they utilize so many different kinds of cars.

Btw... over here a Polizei model car costs about 30% more than the regular production car. Due to all the heavy duty extras (equipment) and welds that the Polizei cars need to last a longer time. Germans states don't buy a new Polzei car every few years - like they do in the states. It is very common to see a tweenty year old Polizei wagon car still in use/service.

Is it just me or are the Munchen "Bullen" just really jerks. There is a traffic "Stadt Polizei" station just down the street from the Welt and everytime I go by there they have someone pulled over. I rarely see any enforcement in other big German cities. Everything is done via cameras! lol |
