Exhaust Diameter 128i

Anyone know the OEM exhaust piping diameter?

someone told me it was 2.25, is this accurate?

Thanks,

Thanks, but they only seem to speak of the 135i and the 130.

surely I know that the 135i has a larger pipe...

is the 130's exhaust diameter identical to the 128i's ?

Hopefully

someone will chime in here. My 128 is buried in garage underneath car cover for a few more weeks.

Look up Super Sprint exhaust on their website for 125i, they have measurements for the twin pipes & the single rear pipe.

I posted them in the No Love thread or the No regrets thread.
I think it was 50 mm and 70mm

I have a 130i, and the rear portion is for sure 2.5in. I think that is one of the differences with the 125/128i. Looks like the 130i shares exhaust dimensions with the 135i.

it's definitely a small diameter piping 2.25 sounds very close to what i remember what the exhaust guys were telling me when they were ordering piping for my car. If I have time i'll left and measure and let u know.

Thanks for looking into it guys...

reason i'm asking is because im working on a retrofit, but need a temporary solution.

hence need to know the exact diameter before ordering parts.
