Matte Carbon Fiber - Worth the hassle?
Hey guys,
Lately I've been tossing up between original gloss carbon fiber with matte carbon fiber. I really like the look of matte carbon fiber but is it worth it? If I got scratches on a glossy piece it would be much more easy to fix than on a matte piece correct? I wouldn't even know where to start to get a scratch out of a matte coat. However do diffusers/spoilers get scratched often? Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated! |

Depends....are you going to get other CF bits and pieces? If you are be aware that the vast majority are gloss....as for me I have Matte CF vinyl stripes so I might consider going for the Matte when I get a new diffuser. I would wager a guess that both are clear coated...one simply has a matte finish versus a gloss finish....

It is much harder to get scratches off a matte coat? Because it's not just polishing, you can't get the same finish as easy on a gloss finish.
iCarbon seems to have everything I want in matte which is why I'm considering it. |
