Definitely gonna get tinting on mine, CA said it'd only delay delivery by 2-3 hours, if they knew 3-4 days ahead of delivery that I wanted it done.

One interesting thing:

I spoke to the owner of the tint shop that my local BMW dealer contracts with, and he stated that Huper Optik has really lost a lot of business lately and it is no longer the top film made. They apparently moved their manufacturing to Israel, and with the move are having quality control issues that results in them having to manufacture their tint a lot thicker than they used to. A few years ago Huper Optik was excellent, and these days it is only "fair".

He made another comment that "ceramic tints" is a Huper Optik marketing gimmick... the crystalization of the adhesive under your tint is the ceramic, and any decent tint adhesive has these same properties.

Anyone else heard anything like that?

I am going to do a wheels and H&R upgrade, plus the Alum pedals. I am still debating on the CF splitters.

I'm going to see my CA in a few hours to get some accessories installed before I accept delivery. Alarm, rear/front mud flaps, chrome exhaust tips to name a few... It's "Let's make a deal time" once again...LOL

I was going to get mud flaps but decided I'd jsut get the clear bra behind the wheels instead. It won't keep the mud off but it'll protect the side of the car and it'll look much better. My only mod so far will be the wheels I have on order, but they won't be here for another month or 2. I really hope Customs and VPC don't take too long, not to mention shiping the car up to Seattle.

What do I need tints for in Seattle? It's cloudy like 3/4 the year up here. I guess if it was just for looks I might, but I can always do it later on. I figure it's another ~$300 I don't need to spend. I'm more into performance upgrades anyway, instead of cosmetic upgrades. I'd probably get sway's shocks and springs before I did a body kit or tints.

Yea, it would be more for looks. But because you don't need the heat reduction you could get some basic tints for $150 or so, not necessarily expensive ceramic for $300.

I'll think about it but it definitely won't be something I do right away. There's really a very small benefit for me so like I said, I'll probably spend my money on other things. Like more tires for track days and autocrossing

Whoooohoooo!!! I pray that all of you fellow Hojins arrive unscathed without any need for body repairs or anything else.

According to this VPC post, they work on Saturdays if there are a lot of pre-purchased vehicles arriving. Let's hope that includes us!

Whoo-Fn-Hooo!! Now after it's done at the VPC I have to wait for it to be transported to NorCal.

BTW, you guys are awesome for posting these updates. I still have not received an email from aislive, not that it matters now.
