Do you know who this upgrade kit is marketed at? ie for the base system or the logic 7 system?
I already have the logic 7 system, will this upgrade improve upon this? |

This is for the base system. It only upgrades the amplifier and the front speakers.

Thanks BBK! will do the upgrade and post experience with install through to sound quality. All up this increases the speakers from 6 to 8... the 10 speaker hi fi i assume would be superior?

The 10 speaker system would just have seperate tweeters in the rear which you wouldn't hear much. But I think the main difference is that the 10 speaker system has larger woofers under the seat?

I know mine has 10 speakers and its not to bad not as good as my last car lexus is250 mark levinson system but the funny thing i turn down the stereo in favor of listening to the beautiful exhaust note coming from the 335.
LEXUS stereo up load BMW stereo turned down listening to the engine sound. bmw tuned their exhaust spot on. I will take a look at it maybe they have a car that's installed this system.

According to Alpine website there are only two 4" speaker models, and they are co-axial, not component and none of the two look like the ones in the PDF. |

The upgrade alpine system as I've been told is just below the professional system but above the hi-fi loadspeaker system with 10 speakers in sound quality.
As i got a 335 coupe has standand hi-fi loadspeaker system i don't know what the rest of models have.

If I had the standard 6 speaker audio I would definitely consider this upgrade. It works out to cost about the same as the Hi-Fi Professional 10 Speaker upgrade which is around $1100 excluding LCT if I remember correctly.

If you bought aftermarket splits and an amp you would get something pretty decent for $1300 installed. Close to gaurantee it would be better than this kit.
They say it's a Class D amp, 4 channel. The only amp Alpine makes in a full range Class D is the PDX which are quite expensive. So the amp isn't a fully fledged PDX, but you would think it's alright. Think it says 4x80wrms? That's plenty enough power. The let down would probably be the speakers, but I would love to hear it! Alpine actually make quite a lot of factory systems for different car manufacturers so it would most likely be something that is from another car and not an aftermarket Alpine product. |

I think i might get this installed i don't like aftermaket ones and outsiders tearing out the interior for a new system so this should be fine bmw said its already at a discounted price so no club discount poohey.
See how we go.
