1/4 Mile times yesterday
Went to the drag strip ... I'm not a big fan of drag racing, but I could always appreciate the sport. I gathered up my friends with fast cars and off to test and tune we went. My '09 135 is bone stock w/original run flat tires(that are pretty much beat). This was also my first time on a legit drag track. I'm car 111, this was my best time posted out of 4 runs at 14.069. I did this run with traction completely off. 3500rpm at launch. My reaction times were about the same all day, not great. I got alot of wheel spin in 1st, 2nd, and a little in 3rd. Also on one of my runs I had a gear grind on a fast shift from 3rd to 4th. I know that shift was clean, but I heard that nasty noise.
So, what you guys think? I know the 135 isn't a strait line racer, but it certainly scoots along. Getting on that track was quite a rush. Good times... |

Reaction times have no effect on ET, but your 2.4 60ft does. If you could've dropped that to say a 2.0 or below, you definitely would've been able to run low to mid 13's. Worn out RFT's would be the culprit for this, but good runs regardless. I'm thinking when it cools down here in South Florida, I'll be taking mine to the strip to see how it does.
