I'm only looking at it for my winter wheels and tires so it'll be on less than 50% of the time.

I don't think I have seen any on a black car yet, but I've seen the opposite on wheels that look like the same style ASA wheels. The wheels on these 1 series are CSL style wheels from Velocity Motoring:

I am a bit stunned they didn't perform better in the winter. Essentially they are BBS wheels with a different design and name (ASA).

Probably due to many being car enthusiast. Plus Gill made a winter tires thread and he mentioned that ASA machined lip/face rims don't hold up as well as other brands when it comes to winter elements such as salts on the roads.

Ok by me

I just put on a silver set just like those you posted on an '08 328ic. The most important thing I've learned is they are indeed perfectly round ;-). Unless you try thin spacers, which prevent them from centering properly on the hub.

I really wanted the machined edge with simulated spokes set back into the wheel, as these are, rather than the "spiderweb" type that bring the spokes out to the edge of the rim.

They do weigh a few lb. more than those selling for 3-8 times as much, but I'm not competing with this car and am not willing to spend arbitrary amounts on it. I figure the extra weight just makes them more robust against damage, but time will tell.

My OEM five spoke wheels have been relegated to winter tire holders. I might get them rounded up and repainted.
