Thanks guys.

Forgot to add I also got the ski bag. Never been skiing in my life, but coming from a flexible hatch, I like the idea of have the centre hole to put long objects through whilst still keeping the seats up. Wasn't expensive and the dealer "threw it in".....

I should add at this stage I'm keeping the 120i and trading it with a family member. That means three 1ers in the 1 family! Luckily we all like BMWs and how the 1 series looks

AussieRacer, are you saying that you don't get the centre hole unless you order the ski bag?

You get 60/40 folding seats as standard, but the centre "armrest" hole/flap only comes with the ski bag option. BMW has been been doing that at least since the E46.

I was thinking about it, and the dealer said they occasionally include it for customers to give flexibility, so I asked for them to include it.

Okay, colour combo was locked in today. Le Mans Blue with Black leather. It's a safe option. I hope to keep the car for a little bit longer than my current 120i, so I think this combo will sit well with me over the years.

Sales guy has confirmed the order as been "uploaded" to BMW, which means the dealer's placeholder specs for one of their July build spots has been overwritten with my specs. Interestingly he thinks their July builds are going to be done early in the month, which could mean in only a few weeks my car could be born.

So much for new orders being delivered next year, or maybe you're lucky to find a dealer with 'spots'. Anyway, congratulations. You join a team of slightly mad, eager 1'ers awaiting news!

You are 100% right SimonB, the wait is a lot shorter than what I expected. In fact I ordered my current 120i in Oct 04 (release month) and got it late late Jan 05, so I might be getting the 135i even quicker......irony really
