Wayne, if you look at the voyage Richard's car is on, it's 6 weeks from departure (25/2) to arrival in Melbourne (6/4). And our car haven't been loaded on a ship yet. I'd don't like our chances.....

I was told May 19th-20th would be the delivery date and the dealer has been quite specific about that date so far. Fingers crossed.

My car should by here in Brisbane at the end of this week and will be stored at the BMW holding yard until the release date. My Dealer will let me know when it arrives. Will keep you posted on when it gets here.

19th of May is when they release the embargo.

Contacted my Dealer and they are having their 1 series VIP launch on either 20th or 21st May. Just so that we can finally drive one.

Did some research into scheduled WW boats coming to Aus. from Bremerhaven. Here is what I found:

Dates are depart Bremerhaven arriving Melbourne

M/V Othello departed 4/4/08 arrives 14/5
M/V Tortugas departs 9/4/08 arrives 16/5
M/V Tarago departs 13/4 arrives 30/5
M/V Trinidad departs 19/4 arrives 24/5
M/V Aida departs 22/4 arrives 26/5

As Othello has already departed 4 days ago and my car is not on that boat, I am assuming (and hoping) it'll get on Tortugas tomorrow and be in Melbourne on 16/5/08. If not, it'll be better to get on the Trinidad as it gets here before the Tarago although it leaves later.

Neither am I. But I guess we must all be on the next one. Jeff was lucky to sneak into Otello by the sound of it and the rest of us will be on Tortugas. The arrival date is only 2 days difference so I wouldn't worry too much.

I'd be real peeved off it we don't get on the Tortugas. Means waiting till 30/5 for our cars to get here on the Tarago. The Tarago is a RO-RO (Roll-On Roll-Off) boat which means it is not a pure car carrier, so it'll be stopping at more ports along the way.

Keep checking the WWL site, fingers crossed. Germany is 8 hours behind, so we have until 8am (AEST) tomorrow before the boat leaves Bremerhaven.

Yes I see you're right Wayne..... It took 5 days to show up after the boat sailed. Which means an agonising wait till Monday or Tuesday to find out if our cars got on the boat. Sheesh is killing me.

Woohoo! Actually Steve B's car is also on it, but his vin on the first page is an error. WBAUC and not WBAVC. Looks like I will get the car around the launch time after all! I think the reason the others are not on yet is because they are going to Sydney (I think) and there must be a different vessel that by passes Melb for Syd.

All the vessels go to Melbourne and Sydney.

Don't understand why Kris's car didn't get on as his VIN is earlier than yours. Maybe they don't park the cars in VIN consecutive order, and yours and steve b's got grabbed first. It's the luck of the draw I guess.

Whatever it is this means that I will get on the TARAGO which arrives 30/5/08:eyebulge: or the TRINIDAD which arrives 24/5/08.
