spare wheel

Well got a flat yesterday (nail) and had to tow the car back home....
I am looking for a spare solution I found online a f30 stock Style 397 18X8 wheel(I'm am almost certain it will fit over the brakes) and wanted to ask the community what tire size should Ii buy for it so its the same height as our stock 19 inches and i don't damage the lsd.
regards
diego

Flzrider thanks for the link, I had looked at a space saver but for the money I rather have a full size spare just can't figure if the f30 wheels will clear the brakes and what tire size will be the same diameter on those 18s.

The front and rear tires on the 1M have different outside diameters, but the one you want to match is the rear tire diameter (due to the locking diff). There are multiple tire size combinations that will match the O.D. of the rear tire. Use this site to calculate the O.D. http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Tire-Size-Calculator

After a flat on the track I think I my invest in one of these - I have 380mm brakes in the front anyone thought of a solution? Is it a best bet just to get an extra 19" wheel?

I have an Airman portable 12v compressor, stored in the space beside the battery under the trunk mat. With a cigar lighter --> mini clamp adapter. I also had a screw in my tire that caused the Flat Tire monitor to alert me on my way to work on Monday. I was able to pump up the tire and get to the tire shop for a repair. (Non run flat tires). This should work for most tire incidents, except a large gash or blowout.
