Most surprising feature you discovered without reading manual?
It was auto unfolding mirrors for me. I have a small garage so I have to fold mirrors when I'm entering in. What was my surprise when mirrors went in normal position after starting driving. Very neat behavior.

Did you know our cars have a type of hybrid system?
When you come off the gas and press the brake the fuel pump shuts off and the whole cars runs off the alternator ONLY. I read that somewhere...

The most hidden feature is that they stuffed a small V8 in my 135's engine bay:-):-):-)

This is going to sound silly but part of the adjustment for the drivers seat.
It was only when I was sitting in another 1 did I notice the seat was adjusted in a way I did not have my own. Well, when I got in my 1, I adjusted it just a tad more. It really pays to not only read this forum, but also make a point to meet other 1'ers! It's funny cause it's the last thing I would have thought to "play" with again. EspressoBoy PS I was going to say hill assist too, but it's been said how many times? Maybe it will go down as the most "suprise feature". So if anyone is counting, include me on that feature. BTW I love that feature and play with it at every hill I am stuck on. |

The auto downshift when using the Steptronic in manual mode. I was actually pleased to discover this feature when I had to quickly brake during my first drive of the car.

Mine was being able to turn traction control all the way off. I knew I could push the button and shut it half way off, but i held it to long one day while having a conversation and I saw the triangle and arrow cirlce of death. i quckly learned what that did when i took a corner to quick and saw cars through my front windshield that were in my rear view only seconds earlier.
