Black Tip Rogue Engineering 135 DMS Exhaust

I was chatting via e-mail with Ben Liaw of Rogue Engineering about the possibility of them marketing an exhaust with black tips like the stock one's.

He seemed surprised to know that there was any interest in such a product, so he asked me to poll the community and see if there is a market for such a thing.

So that is all this is right now. Obviously no idea on price.

He seemed more inclined to just offer a powdercoated version, but didn't rule out black chrome tips.

I think this exhaust looks great, appears to be top quality, and at a fair price. I would definitely go for it if it had a dark tip option. Not a huge fan of blingy chrome on my bsm 135, especially after getting use to the sweet black chrome stock tips.

According to Ben Liaw: "The exhaust is designed to replace the factory bolt-on muffler. This means if there is a midpipe available on the market designed to fit with a factory setup, it will work."

Black chrome is the way to go. Do you have a better sound clip. All you can hear is engine turbo whining away.

Here's the latest from Rogue Engineering:

"At the moment, sandblasting, masking, and powdercoating the tips on the current DMS exhaust would be the most cost effective. Sourcing high quality powder (vs standard black) is doable as well. Not sure how much more it will add to the cost, but I'll continue to pursue.

Check (back) in a few weeks, when our inventory has arrived, and we've had some time to experiment with some coatings."

Looking to film something tomorrow.. Had problems fitting the spring bolt back in and ended up messing it up so was trying to get that dealt with

I apologize, I stopped watching the video towards the end...I just watched it again and it was a good video, maybe you can take another after you are done with break in
