Another Berk Street Performance Review (N54)...
Hey all, it has been a week now, I wanted to wait a bit before I shared my opinions on this exhaust.
I will start off by thanking Lutz Performance for the install, they are a great bunch of guys over there and they know what they are doing. I am usually a stickler about installing mods myself, but I figured, why not... by the way, not sure who owned the Kharman Ghia slammed to the ground, but damn that thing was nice! (pic attached) i'd really like to thank Brian at Berk for answering all my newb questions (I had a million) as this is my first turbo car. now to the review... Just like everyone else says, under normal driving conditions, this exhaust is just a tad louder than stock. under WOT, this thing really sounds nice. It gets slightly louder at 2000 RPM but past that, it settles right in to a nice brrrrr. IMO, the exhaust is tasteful but sounds mean when you want it to, best of both worlds really. I also really liked the pricepoint of this exhaust. It was right where it should be when it came to retail costs, i.e... no BMW tax. I will have videos up this evening if it stops raining. Any requests on what exactly you want (other than fly-bys)? Specific RPMS, etc. |

Rev Video Up...
WOT coming later, couldn't get decent results by myself... I tried to hold it for a bit at 2000 rpm where the exhaust is loudest to give an idea of where it is most noticable in cabin. As you can tell, it is a very tame exhasut until you want it not to be. Last edited by Juicehead; 03-14-2011 at 08:45 PM.. |
