Nice!
Big dollars too, mind you I priced an Alcan wheel that had no lights etc for a porsche, $2100 RRP in the states. Makes BMW's stuff cheap ........relatively. I like the Alcan too, my E92 leather wheel got tired after a few years, I tend to hold the wheel in the same place all the time and as such it shows. |

Looks good Nik. We'll have to compare wheels next time we catch up.

Smart looking wheel. Is it an easy install. Where does it pick all the info up from? Is there a sapre connection in the steering wheel controller for the extra wiring I presume??

Regarding the install it looks quite detailed at first but after a few read throughs it doesnt look so hard (we will soon see). The wheel comes with a control unit that plugs in to a standard connector. I should have this done by this evening if all goes to plan. I will post more photos then. |

Are you saying the lack of M badge is the reason you haven't bought one? There are other centre trim options with M badge's if that is your priority.

Congrats! Definitely a sweet mod but I'd be too tempted to set the shift lights at 5k+ rpms and drive around like an idiot haha!! Can't wait for pics

Thanks all , yeh the install went well , worked first go some tricky parts if anybody ever gets one I'd be happy to provide tips ! The most fucked thing was that BMW instructions required 2 wires to be tapped behind the obd2 port for power. These power wires do not exist on AUS delivered cars. Had to wire it up onto the cigarette lighter under armrest! I found a post of another guy in the states who ran into the same problem.
Pictures to come tomorrow |

No, the centre cover is an option and doesn't come standard with the performance wheels. The only alcantara cover is as per the picks here, no logo, I wanted it to retain the factory look is all. |

Thanks mate!
The centre piece was an option. The wheel doesn't actually come with any centre , you re use the standard one. Like Vinney said They are interchangeable so you could get anything. But I think what you want is a indentation on the wheel itself for the ///M badge ? |
