Do you plan to remove the front license plate holder?
For those people in particular provinces/states that require front license plates, do u plan to remove the black front license plate holder so that only your license plate is on the front?
I personally plan to remove mine. It's easy to remove and I think it would look slicker without it. I don't like how it distracts the eye from the car and how it frames my license plate, making it easier for cops to see! |

I told my dealer not to drill the plate, forget the plate.

For NY and NJ residents only: I am buying my E90 soon and I was wondering if you know if I need to have my front license plates? I moved from Toronto, ON and not sure if it is required here.

No to plates
That license plate thing is a funny thing. I now have a garage in Chicago, so I can hide my car there or at work at the garage there (ten bucks a day but in Chi-town that ain't bad). I have no license plate on the front of my current car. I hate that law so much I refuse to follow it. No cop in Chicago will stop my for not having it, but once or twice a year when I happen to park on the street, I get tagged. Fifty bucks a pop. Just stupid. Useless law. I'm probably nuts for not doing it, but I'm a purist and cars like Bimmers look so much better without the front plate. I say, if you have a garage, take your chances. Impractical advice, but I know there are those of you out there who are doing the same thing. Besides, the idea of drilling a couple of holes in a forty-thousand dollar car makes me ill. Rock on!

Wow nice lineup of cars pangearox!!
I'm curious, what do you think of the handling of the e90 versus the S4? Obviously the V8 is much more powerful, but how do the other aspects compare? Thx. |

i just posted this in the S4 vs. E90 thread
"honestly i have only driven the S4 once...around the block...so i cant really talk much about the drive...it is definetly faster than the 330i but that is a given. what i can say is that the BMW in my opinion is much nicer inside...seems to have more legroom in the back...and the technological stuff in the BMW is far superior. I love my Idrive and everything that goes along with it, ie. the voice recognition....its just so amazing...and i love the bluetooth in my car....i feel that audi didnt keep up in that department. Also...i would have to say that Audi didnt keep up on the styling either....the BMW is a brand new car...it resembles the the E46 but it really is a new car....the S4 still looks like lasts years A4 quite a bit....yes the grill is different and there are a few changes...but i dont think they did enough to keep up with the E90... but of course...thats why i bought the e90!!!... when i get a chance to drive his car a bit more, i'll let you know more about the driving of the car"
