Thanks for ruining my weekend BMW

Gassed the car up this morning, washed, clay barred and waxed it. Going to go to the beach to escape the heat for the weekend and then...LONG CRANK. SES light came on with reduced power. I limp into the BMW dealership to get the HPFP replaced and the service department is closed and they aren't issuing any loaners. So I end up waiting in the dealership for a few hours before my brother can come pick me up. No car and a wasted Saturday. THANKS BMW. Rant over.

I dont know about you but thats where you messed up...you dont go to a beach to escape heat, thats where heat hurts the most.

Next time try an Ice Hockey Rink

They took the ice out of there early in the postseason.

Yeah same here at the Bank Atlantic Center (I work as on Crew during the season for extra $$ and free season tickets)

We removed the ice right after the last game of season

Call BMW roadside assistance. Read your warranty term carefully, car got broken, you get a replacement.

Corrrect. He was not in a good place at that time, but you are right about that. One call to a rental company would have been picked-up by BMW.

I think the HPFP is where BMW screwed this guy. more than any other way!

Sorry about what happened to you. Also, it seems to me more HPFP failure lately and even 09 model has it too. I thought they put in new and improved HPFP in 09. If 09 still has it which means BMW has not completely solved the HPFP problem yet.

Yea, after being stranded by the runflats and having to stay in a hotel.. I'm having thoughts of going back to a car that doesn't have runflats or high pressure fuel pump. I have a bad feeling the pump will go bad the next time I go out of town. How far can you drive in limp mode caused by a bad pump?

Yes but not actual tickets....during the season I work as an Ice Crew member. We fix and prepare the ice before the game and when the game starts I sit in a folding chair by the Zamboni doors and watch the game.

So I get to watch every game but I dont actually have tickets I just have an all access press pass that gets me everywhere in the building.
