Fuel Tank Mileage Range
What's the mileage range you're all attaining with a full tank of gas in the 135i? I've tried a search for this with no luck. Can one go 200+ miles on a tank?

If you push it all the way to the limit, AC off, flat roads, cool weather, light winds, speed <75, you can get 400 miles on a tank. More normal highway range for me is around ~350 miles.

The tank holds about 13.5 gallons (that's usable without worrying too much about running out), and the car will get 15-27MPG depending on the type of driving.
The range will be 200-360 miles using those numbers. I've actually gone a little farther than 360 on a road trip, but I've never done worse than 200 on a full tank. |

How do you do that? Is it all going down-hill? The best I have ever got down here in Georgia, driving about the same speeds, is 27.9 MPG

I do a mixed of city and highway driving and I get an average of 21 mpg. For a full tank of 14 gallons, it equates to approx. 300 miles. However, I always fill up the tank when the fill up light flashes (means there is only 2 gallons left).

Yesterday I was driving on the autobahn (around 140 km/h or 90 mph) and after I refilled the tank and drove for 60 km (40 miles) I checked the range and this is what I got:
Needless to say I was so surprised that I had to take a picture. Even after I got home (made around 250 km - 150 miles), the milage left was still 450 km (280 miles)... Don't ask me how... Oh and no I wasn't driving downhill... |

I know I have a 123d, but I got 590 miles between fill-ups once And that's a smaller tank than you 135i folks have. But I do miss not having a nice sounding engine and that extra power..........

Averaging about 312 / tank. That's apprx. 24 mpg. Quite a bit less if I'm having fun over a weekend...more like 19-21 mpg.

I've gotten over 22MPG over a tank with an average speed close to 90MPH. How fast are you driving? |

I wonder if my 135 is broken....I usually get less than 300 miles to a tank--the best I have ever done, and had to drive about 70 MPH to get it, was about 320 miles on one tank....

I consistently get 260 miles per tank. That's a good average of city and freeway miles. When I've been on mostly highway trips, I've averaged 28 mpg and gotten ~350 miles per tank.

Unfortunately, what I drive affects how I drive.
