128i vs Tiburon
What do you guys think about this ?
128i Msport vs Hyundai Tiburon SE -- 230 HP vs 172 HP but Weight difference makes this a little comparible isn't it ? 3252lbs ve 2986lbs Drag or track wise of course.

I don't have any numbers in front of me, but my gut says to go with the 128.
Since you have the 128, maybe you can find someone with a Tiburon and go for it. ; ) BTW, how's the new ride? My 128 MSport is awaiting shipment. |

I don't think he's comparing to buy, I think he wants to know who will win if he races one. My guess is it's going to be pretty damn close. The last generation Tibby was a pretty decent preformer for the money. |

@jeremyc74: Yeah I was thinking the same thing, metrics wise 128i ahead but that little 300 lbs difference is making me discuss this

The best time I've seen for a Tiburon is 7 sec 0-60. A manual trans. 128i Coupe will clean it's clock. You would only have to worry if you had a convertible with a slush box.

I don't think the Hyundai stands a chance, especially at the first corner, even more especially if the first corner involves heavy braking

I think you would have to be a miserable driver to lose to a stock Tib. Genesis coupe V6- now that's much closer but if they fix that shifting near redline protection thing that cuts off the throttle- 128 would lose to that at least in the flats.

FWD vs RWD makes them totally different, the 128 will outhandle the sloppy Tib any day of the week

128I is faster than the old tiburon
Thinking about it I would buy a Genesis 2.0T over a 128I The Genesis with a 3.8 is useless. I would go for the 4 banger and mod it a bit.

intake/exhaust V6 tiburon ran 14.9 1/4miles...... (not the genesis w/e)
stock 128i can own 14.9 I believe 128i can run mid 14......or high 14 depends on the drivers. and I hate tiburon owned 1st gen, 2nd gen..... nice body styling.. but nothing to show |
