Tracking my 135i order
I apologize in advance if this is already covered- I did search.
I am having a hard time tracking my car's shipment and delivery date. Car was apparently born on March 13th. The BMW Website with my Vehicle Order number says that the car is "End Production" (not En route). I called BMW's customer service and the automated search function says the car is at the port of exit awaiting a shipment vessel (no available information on shipping) I spoke with my Sales Rep and he says that the car is on the boat but doesn't have any other info. Is there any other way I can accurately track my car? I live in CT- was wondering about how long until I can expect the car to be at my dealership. All I have is the VIN # and Production order number. I am waiting patiently but I do want to at least have an ETA on when I can expect to see the beast. It's weird that I have 3 avenues to track my car, but all give me different answers. Any advice is appreciated! Last edited by Mr_Teutonic; 03-23-2012 at 01:32 PM.. |

I also live in CT and got my 135 the other day.
You need the VIN number. Get it from your CA if you don't have it already. Then you can go to the shipper's website (http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp) and enter your VIN and it will tell you what boat its on and when its supposed to dock in NY. From there expect less than a week to the dealer in CT. |

Your car maybe on the same boat as mine. Mine finished production around the same time, and has said production ends since. My CA told me this morning that it was now on a boat. He gave me the ship's name and other information. I was not able to find it using the link in the "tracking guide" (same as ejm3 gave you). So instead I searched for the vessel's name, which is Florida Highway. It is operated by K-Lines, and I am able to track it using www.marinetraffic.com and also on www.kline.com. According to K-Line it will be in the US on Apr 3-6 depending on the port.
