My RS4 is approaching 100k miles on original turbos. The last 40k has been running at 450bhp. I look after them - warm up, cool down. I plan to do the same with the 135i, and don't anticipate any issues.

dont warm the car up by idling. Drive cautiously until that oil temp gauge moves into the middle. Cars are too efficient these days to let them warm up by idling. You will do more harm than good.

If you don't have a oil gauge drive for at least 10 minutes. Warming up the engine by letting it idle is not the recommended way and it wont warm up the rest of the drive train. Drive like you're breaking it in for the first 10 minutes or at least 5 minutes after the water temp comes up. Oil takes longer to come up to temperature. |
