AR DP's

Just thought I would report back on here if anyone else was looking to go the DP route...

Had the AR catted downpipes fitted a couple of weeks ago at Brids Auto. Took a few hours but they did a great job.

Sound is slightly more raucous but not droning on motorways as some can be.
Accelleration at higher revs you can really hear the the exhaust note while acceleration seem's that bit quicker.

One thing I have noticed, if using 95 octane or similar crap fuel, you will smell the sulphur as it's not burning the mixture off, only noticed this with the new DP's as stock you didn't notice.

All in all very happy with them.

How much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking. Are they 100 cell cats?

Just noticed you're in Colchester, I'm in Ipswich

Have you still got the stock exhaust on? I've got the BMW Performance exhaust and am currently happy with the sound and performance. I've been thinking about getting these downpipes but I'm not sure what the advantages might be. I don't really want any more noise.

Cheers

Replaced the stock exhaust (at least the last bit) with the Hartge quad exhaust which is no different in sound than the stock. With the DP's it's slighty more raspy but not droning on long drives.

You two have certainly done some pretty serious work on your cars.

I'm booked into a trackday at RAF woodbridge on 10.07.10, any of you fancy it? I'd love to have a ride in a tuned up 135 as I'm considering a remap.
