Exhaust Drone Removal

So I built a custom straight axle back and was getting a ton of drone.. So i attached two closed tubes to the exhaust (pic) and that removed the drone all together.. great. my doubt is that maybe these tubes are a bit against having a straight exhaust, 'cause it seems to me that the exhaust gas goes to these tubes, then comes back and creates some sort of back pressure.. Any opinions???

What mid pipes do you have? Putting on N55 mid pipes reduces drone.

Interesting... Your custom pipes are similar to the meisterschaft.

Are your mids straight through with no resonator?

But I still have it a bit @ 2800/3000rpm . Not very irritating but it's still there.

I have kittyless cpe DPs and resonated mids... I actually cut out the cats on the stock mids and inserted resonators, cause the noise was too much straight through...

And I actually based mine on the meister...

You've used a Helmholtz chamber. It's the easiest way to stop a droning exhaust.

Yea... My question is if this could cause backpressure and result in performance loss...
