A story of my 1M from Moscow!

Now it looks like this:

Hi everybody!
I'd like to present to you my VO 1M.
At the end of last summer I changed my e90 335i FBO jb4 to the 1M. It was a used one, and it had 17500 km. Also it had some very bad wheels on spacers and with rubbing problems. but the surprise was that it had SS Racing muffler! I liked the sound, it sounds better than the Akrapovic one on a 335i.

So the 1M was much more interesting in stock than the tuned 335i.
And I really like my car, even in winter time.
The first mod that I did was Logic 7 Harman Kardon music system. It was the only thing that I didn't like in the car - music.

After a few days I changed my wheels to the stock! And it looks much better now.
During the winter I decided to make a tune, because on hi speed my 335i was much faster and I felt it. Here is the video, my 335i vs stock 1m on race gas.

So lets tolk about the tune I've already done.
I installed:
- ER intercooler
- ER oil cooler
- ER charge pipe
- Forge DV
- BMS drop-in filter
- Changed senter catts to the resonators (custom)
- Custome made cattless DPs from the stock ones
- Cobb stage 2+
- ER brake lines
- Ferodo DS2500 pads
- Yokohama AD08 (stock size) tires

And now the car looks like this:

Then I did dyno.

It showed 328 hp and 540 Nm to the wheels and they told me that I need to devide it ti 0,78, so I got 420 hp and 692 Nm.

To be honest I'm not sure, that it is too much tranmission loss. And I don't really like the place in Nm graph between 3000 and 4000 rpm. Whe you spool, it is not smooth and linear Nm delivery. So Today I will make a e-Tune with Protuningfreaks to correct my flash.

Thaty's way too much tranny loss. Any stock 1M already has 330/335 whp I 've been told....

--------

Nice story Jack.

Cheers

Good development, congratulations. Would love to hear your exhaust set up better please!

Stock 1M is usually about 290-295 on Mustang Dyno. So you picked up some good power. About 40 hp at the wheels is not bad at all. I've heard similar complaints about Cobbs software not being very linear or smooth on the 1M.

I got the SuperSprint Racing muffler + stock DP's are catless custom + cats from the mid pipe are transformed into resonators
Sounds better than on video, there is no bass on video

As the service guy told me, Cobb has their maps are used on GTR only to go to the guy who will correct this map according to your mods, so will do I.

KW DDC ECU istalled!

HI everybody. Got a new mode on my 1m. Tnx to mpiligRim for this suspension and for getting the Wi-Fi module.
So I lowered the ca for about -20mm front and -10mm - - 15mm rear.
The car looks much better and now it is more useful for a daily drive.
So 3 modes:
Comfort - can not say that I like it. The car is comfort on the bad road, but it jumps and you don't feel comfortable inside.
Sport - very nice mode! I can say that it is mode comfortable than stock, but still stable on the road with no jumps like the comfort one.
Sport+ - it is harder than the Sport mode, still very nice. It is good for track day or for hard driving.

So I like the Sport and Spor+ modes, but not satisfied of the Comfort mode.
I'll try to make the Comfort mode better with the Custom adjustment.
I'm sorry for a bad quality of the fotos. Will make the fotoset soon.

Here is -35mm front.

Than we did -20mm front.

Magic button.

Nice.

I run 10% front and 12% rear as a comfort setting, never use the 3 factory presets tbh.

Hi everybody.
Yesterday I tested my new flash from Protuningfreaks and I like it!
I did a few roll-ons.
I got the passenger on all races.
First:
-Porsche 9119996) Turbo manual + passenger - he did 434 hp on dyno
-Evo 4 with unknown mods but only 1000 kg

Second:
-stock manual M3 with forged wheels with no passengers
-stock e55amg with a passenger, one race we did 270 km/h

Third:
-335xi evotech st.2 with forged wheels and no passenger

And I did just once the racelogis 100-200.

The car didn't overheat and went very stable run-to-run. I enjoy the result)

I will go to make another dyno next weeks. But will go to another place where were tested lots of 335i st.2 and they did 410-420 hp as it should be.
The power delivery is much better and smoother than the OTS Cobb st.2+! I like it more. And the datalogs show that it works good not like the OTS map before.

For DDC I found sport+ was great at Spa this past weekend, but way too hard for the nordschleife - custom setting 80% was not bad. sport is good day to day. Comfort is noisy on my car at low speeds and bad bumps, seems to be the top coils on the spring touching together under compression...

Hi jackkk, I'm interested about your feeling on the Yoko Neova's.
How are they when cold, and in the wet ?
Do you notice a big grip difference on track, cornering ?
I'm actually on Michelin PSS but thinking about those Yoko's !
Nice mods and pix btw.
Greets.
LuuZ.
