Hey Joe, I got my little hands on the Macan Diesel for a few hours, coming from a X5 30D the power delivery of the Macan was not as immediate (more lag compared to x5, even in sport+) but it did handle very well!! VERY! For me the inside was too "busy"...

Not an AUDI person, so can't comment.
SRT.. how old are you again?

Mate you could pull of a SRT8!

A mate of mine has a white one, with headers and a full exhaust and TBH I was impressed with the build quality and interior finish!

What did you think of it?

To be honest, I thought the interior finish was awesome, with real carbon fibre bits everywhere.
And.... All the October MY15 build onwards have been tweaked by a further 10 killer wasps...

Goes like the piss and really does sound friggen awesome.

I don't pay for my petrol, so the shit economy doesn't bother me.
$87k on the road..

He was getting <10L 100kms by memory when we went on a putty rd run (we had to pull over and wait for him for a good 5-10 mins a few times as he was just cruising) I was surprised. I'm sure the cylinder deactivation helps!

I've always hated chrysler's and jeeps with a passion, but the jeep SRT8 really shocked me and it's even been reliable for over 12 months!

10L / 100kms is amazing. I haven't read a review that gave it anything under 18.
Reliability is my only concern.

That was all open road 80-100km/h driving, I'm not sure what he gets around town but 18L-20L/100kms sounds about right.

Hmm yeah just because his hasn't had any faults doesn't instill confidence with me that all of them are just as good...

Well... I shouldn't have taken the Macan S for a test drive today..

Porsche owned dealership and still have to wait...August 2015 delivery for the colour/options I want.

Hands down best value in the $$ bracket IMO.

True but we know Joe has landed on his new car and it's neither Audi nor BMW
