Dangerous Territory "M" Badge

Now the last thing I am trying to do is "pose" or offend and 1M owners. I just simply like the way the emblem looks, but I am not enough of an a@@hole to slap an "M" badge on the back of my 135.

SO, I had this idea of getting the best of both worlds, I'm not misrepresenting, just simply adding a little color to my badge.

If you disapprove I do apologize, again this is just a personal preference, and I am not looking to offend anyone or pretend I have something that I certainly don't.

My friend drives a 1M and I showed this to him and he thought it looks awesome and "didn't give a sh#t" when I asked him if he thought I was getting into dangerous territory with this addition.

I like the way it turned out. And for anyone who likes the way it looks, I hope this helps you out.

Thought I would share

If you have the m sport package I don't see why you would be misrepresenting. My steering wheel, shifter, and door sills all have it.

That has confused many people that have been in my car. One guy even tried calling me out on those M badges until I explained everything to him.

As for the OP, I kinda like it. Not something I would do to mine, but it looks good. Well done sir.

Exactly what I say, even wheels that are part of the M Sport Package have the M emblem. If someone says, "is this an M model" and it clearly says something like 135i, they are ignorant, you are not posing. Really don't see the problem with M Sport Coupes to have M badges where appropriate. Btw, we're all not rich enough to get an M3.

I like it, albeit they do have an M Badge that is the same height as your 135i badge. Try that one. Its the one from an 2007 and up M3. I think the one you used is from one M3 generations ago.

if there is any confusion it is that your car looks like an M135i.

I like it too. But as stated prior, I think that one a little smaller would be better and maybe even mounted after the 135i. But good job either way!

I think it would look good if it was the same height as the 135i emblem, but it's slightly bigger so it looks weird to me.

I don't know... As mentioned before our cars do come with ///M Package. touchy subject.... Especially since the 1M only has the ///M in the back (that im aware of) and not ///1M like the ///M3

I thought this would be terrible but I think it actually looks great. Might actually look good on the front quarter panels, even.

I'm not really a fan of badges in general but I think this has a lot of potential, especially if you can find a smaller version that's about 2/3rds the regular emblem height.

My buddy and I ran into a guy last Friday with a SGM 135i with an M badge on the right side and Dinan badge on the left (it was not the OP). I wish I had a recording of the conversation.... Memorable quotes include being a Dinan contract driver, never over heating or getting brake fade on the track, has driven the 1M and M3 on the track but prefers the 135i with the Dinan suspension (questionable if he even had a Dinan suspension), feels the car is planted at 170 mph, tracks his car all the time at Homestead, PBIR and Sebring, runs "max" camber with 2 degrees toe-in at the front and 7.5 degrees toe-out in the rear, etc.

Having run Sebring 50+ times, my buddy asked him what his lap times were at Sebring. He said 7 minutes. We sat there in shock not saying a word. Thinking that we thought that was to fast, he then said high 7s low 8s. Keep in mind that one lap at Sebring is 3.7 miles. Well no wonder he doesn't over heat or experience brake fade. How could you at 30 mph?

So to each their own, but before adding an M badge to your 135/128, ask yourself whether you want to be grouped together with people like this. The truth will set you free, or at least not make you look like a fool.

I only saw the colored stripes, never saw a "M" badge on the rear..

I don't think it's that big of a deal. In my opinion as long as your happy thats all that matters.
