I have pagid yellows front. But you can see they overheat a little bit. The PFC are much better and can stand much more abuse and heat.

The 06 is a good compromise they have very low wear.

According to PFC, they are easy on rotors also. Would you agree with that?

i have upgraded to BMW Performance rotors all around, Motul fluid, and Ferodo 2500 pads and had brake fade in the first 15 minutes of my first session, I had to end it early.

I could only do 1/2 the normal session all day, I'm definitely upgrading to harder pads...

Track pads (which are not necessarily "harder") will help, but on the 135i you're really limited by the calipers.

Currently have pfc01 front pads and castrol srf fluid, no fade at all.
Who is your source for pfc pads?
Thank you

Bimmerworld for PFC01. If you need PFC06, i think raceshopper is the only place that has them.

you didn't mention what run group... but Ferodo 2500s will only be good for drivers in an intermediate level run group. The Ferodo 3000 is a true track pad that you should move up to from the same company. I am not infatuated with the Hawk pad initial bite... as i prefer a pad that has more consistent peformance throughout the brake pedal range... I really liked the 3000s and ran them for several years on a previous car..... until I bought some PFC-01s.

For time being, that is correct. I think that Bimmerworld will eventually also have the PFC-06 pads.

I've spoken about them with James and believe he will be stocking them by the Spring.

Can either you or Franklin Joseph comment on the 01 vs 06?

I would consider myself an intermediate driver and will be sticking with street rubber for the HPDE's and lapping days I plan to do. The 06 seems like the best fit for me, and perhaps the 01 would be overkill.

The 06s would be my starting point since they do deliver good track performance/life vs price. I also know that the new PFC 08 compound pads are in the pipeline at the factory.

You'll be fine with the O6. In my experience, it has slightly less initial bite than the 01, but it lasts a lot longer.

Agree.. the additional initial bite of the 01 will just make you lock up street tires more easily under braking.

I'll keep the stock setup during the winter (dd), but will change to Endless MX72 pads next spring.
i've got the same problem... so which rotors can be set up instead of the stock ones?

why would you want different rotors? Just swap them against new ones with some proper pads.
I was on the Ring for 4 days and drove 50 Laps incl GP track without any fading. (using BMW sport brake pads and castrol SRF)

the problem is not in fading.. i use hawk hp+ pads and going to change them to ferodo 1.11 or 2.11 and motul 660 brake fluid.
but the problem is that my stock rotors began vibrating after overheating on the track.. so i'm afraid that it can happen again... may be there are any more strong aftermarket rotors for the stock support??

Anyone have any experience using the motul brake fluid, I think that's what I'm looking to swap to

Sounds like a pad and, perhaps, break-in and/or braking technique problem.

FWIW, I've been running Performance Friction pads (PFC-01, -06 and -08) with stock rotors and have had no problems.

I did add cooling ducts, but that was primarily for longevity.
