I have to say, I quite enjoy driving my dad's X6 xDrive35d whenever I get the chance...it's just got that gangsta swagger. The 50i must be an absolute blast.

sparoz mate, I'd recommend the 40d too. The twin turbo diesels in BMWs are just bloody good units. Makes a low, undiesel-like growl to boot. X5 gets my vote.

Might have to stop in at Coastline and have a look at that. Might be dangerous... Luv E46 M3s!

Can't say I have tried the 50i, but the M was manic.

Yeah, will check out the Cayenne this weekend on the Coast - hopefully get some better treatment compare to Brisbane. Not sure about their diesel unit though, and if I go to a S or S hybrid + some options - that's almost at X5M territory.

Drove the 40d a while back and it blew me away, but as it's the wife's car. May be the 30d is plenty.

Felt like I have - so moving back to the OP -

The car replacing the 1M will be the new M5. Got a little goal to reach before I get the car - hopefully within 3 years .

Reading an old issue of the evo magazine, and found the perfect 1M replacement.
